Andy Gospodarek

Software Architect
Initially worked at LVL7 (acquired by Broadcom in 2007) doing application porting ("Why doesn't this work on Linux?") and later doing platform and board support for an embedded network operating system product. Moved to Red Hat in 2005 and spent most of his time maintaining network drivers and doing whatever else was needed in the networking subsystem as well as leading others doing similar work.
Joined Cumulus Networks in 2014 to work on kernel networking internals, kernel hardware offload development, and to help with the network-centric distribution, Cumulus Linux. Primarily focused on kernel changes that will add features to make systems have the ability to behave more like typical routers and also working on in-kernel offload development and switch chip driver development. Now at Broadcom as a Software Architect focused on ways to enhance kernel infrastructure to handle new hardware capabilities of network adapters and enhance network adapter drivers and firmware to handle new kernel capabilities.
